Post Graduate Diploma
In Psychodrama
(PGDP) – 2026
An 18-month experiential learning programme for professionals, practitioners and changemakers

Why Psychodrama?
Psychodrama is an internationally recognised experiential action method developed by Dr. Jacob Levy Moreno. It integrates action, creativity, reflection, and group processes to foster personal growth, professional development, healing, and transformation. Today, psychodrama is widely applied in psychotherapy, counselling, coaching, education, healthcare, organizational development, leadership, and community work.
How does psychodrama enrich your personal and professional life—whether you are a therapist, coach, educator, healthcare professional, social worker, facilitator, or leader?
Watch children at play. They effortlessly become their parents, teachers, grandparents, superheroes, and even themselves. They switch roles, speak in different voices, and replay moments they are trying to understand. Without even realizing it, they are exploring relationships, emotions, and possibilities while making sense of their world.
Psychodrama invites adults to do something surprisingly similar—but with intention, theory, and a safe, facilitated process. Rather than simply talking about an experience, we step into it. We give voice to the parts of ourselves that have remained silent. We explore relationships, emotions, beliefs, and possibilities on a stage where insight often emerges through action rather than analysis.
One of the things most valued about psychodrama is that there is room for every part of our psyche; the confident and the uncertain; the joyful and the grieving; the younger self and the wiser self. Nothing needs to be left outside the room. And we don't do it alone. A group becomes more than an audience—it becomes a community of auxiliaries, witnesses, and companions who help us see ourselves with greater clarity and compassion.
There is something profoundly moving about discovering yourself through play. It reminds us that spontaneity isn't childish; it's one of our greatest resources for growth, healing, and connection. Moreno believed that spontaneity is the catalyst of creativity. When we respond freshly to familiar situations, new possibilities emerge. Psychodrama creates conditions where spontaneity can flourish, allowing individuals and groups to discover responses that are more authentic, creative, and life-giving.
Moreno captured the essence of psychodrama in his celebrated poem Invitation to an Encounter: “…And when you are near I will tear your eyes out and place them instead of mine, and you will tear my eyes out and place them instead of yours. Then I shall look at you with your eyes, and you will look at me with mine.”
It is to step into another person's world—not merely to understand their story intellectually, but to experience it from within. When we begin to see through another's eyes, empathy deepens, rigid narratives soften, and new possibilities emerge. This is where healing, connection, and transformation begin.
Have you ever experienced a moment where doing revealed more than talking ever could? Here is an opportunity if you are interested to experience psychodrama—not merely as a method to learn, but as a way of seeing, relating, and facilitating meaningful change.
